New tech for reducing diesel consumption and emissions

A fuel additive that will reduce diesel consumption by up to 8%?

We were sceptical too when approached. Sounds like Snake Oil, or those ‘fantastic’ magnetic devices that you’d clamp over your fuel lines, from about 20 years ago.

The more we’ve delved into it though, the more convinced we are that there’s something in this. This is a non-carbon based, non-toxic biodegradable fuel additive for petrol and diesel engines. It’s been tested and certified for its claimed benefits by Bureau Veritas, Millbook and Socotec Laboratories, and has been approved by most major engine manufacturers. The main benefits are:

  1. Proven fuel consumption reduction of up to 8% (in real user case examples)
  2. Longer fuel and exhaust filter life
  3. Improved lubricity = longer pump and injector life
  4. Reduced NOx and particulate emission

A Shropshire based 27 strong HGV fleet operator has been using the product for two years, and has seen an 8% reduction in fuel use, and maintenance costs reductions of £1,500 per vehicle per year.

It does seem that this produce does actually work, so if you’re not yet ready to switch your fleet to electrical power, but still wish to reduce emissions and consumption, please get in touch.
