Don’t be another victim of this War.

Business Resilience and Energy Security

Does War feature in your business’s risk management plan?

Probably not, but on-going events clearly demonstrate how vulnerable businesses are to global events. The pinch will already be being felt at the fuel pump, and by those businesses, including many in the hospitality sector, that rely on heating oil.

Business gas tariffs may be secure for the time being, but even if wholesale prices fall back, who would bet on a return to pre-Ukraine war prices?

It is imperative that all UK businesses recognize how vulnerable they are to fossil fuel price fluctuations, and to supply and availability risks.

Energy need not be an unmanageable overhead though, those risks can be managed but improving resilience. This is where we can support businesses at this time of peril:

  • Assessing premises for the suitability, impact and investment case of on-site renewables such as solar PV

  • Identifying efficiency improvements through improved controls, better practice or technology investment.

  • Assessing Heating fuel / technology switching – heat pumps, biomass boilers for example.

  • Analysing road fleets for an EV transition

Without wishing to belittle in any way the human cost of this war,  our message to business is – don’t be another victim.
