Air Time

What do we know about the air we breath?

Apart from that it’s mainly Nitrogen, followed by Oxygen, and then a few other bits and bobs,  we know if it’s hot, warm or cold, we know if it smells, we’ll be aware of any significant particulate concentrations, and that’s probably about it.

Research has shown that poor indoor air quality in the workplace can reduce employee productivity by up to 10%. Moreover, many indoor office and education environments have been found to be in breach of UK Legislated limits and WHO guidelines. Overheating is an obvious waste of energy, as is overcooling, and the risks of the transmission of viruses has been bought into sharp focus in recent years.

The truth is, most business know very little about their indoor air quality and the impact that it has on productivity, absenteeism and energy costs.

We’re working with a Lancashire based business who have developed and launched a fully integrated indoor air quality management system which not only measures and records multiple parameters, but will use that data to control a room or whole building, automatically operating, for example, a thermostatic radiator valve, an extractor fan, an air filter, a dehumidifier, lights, or a motorised window opener.

The system operates wirelessly, making installation quick and easy.
